Jay&Min Water Saving is proud to announce that it has successfully obtained KTW-BWGL certification from HyCert at Hygiene-Institut des Ruhrgebiets, Germany. This achievement marks another important milestone in our commitment to developing safe, reliable and high-performance water-saving solutions for the global market.
The certified product range includes faucet aerators, flow meters and flow controllers—small components that play an important role in everyday water use. For Jay&Min, this milestone brings two priorities together: improving water efficiency and meeting the hygiene requirements for materials in contact with drinking water.
Water Efficiency and Drinking Water Hygiene
Water-saving solutions begin with the components that help manage how water flows. Faucet aerators shape the water stream at the outlet, while flow meters and flow controllers support water measurement and flow management. Although these components are often less visible than the finished faucet or water system, they remain an important part of its design.
For drinking-water-contact applications, material hygiene is also a key consideration. KTW-BWGL sets out evaluation criteria for plastics and other organic materials in contact with drinking water. Jay&Min’s HyCert certificate confirms that the components used in the covered products meet these requirements, together with the Metall-BWGL criteria for metallic materials in contact with drinking water.
Obtaining this certification represents a meaningful step in Jay&Min’s continued work to bring water-saving functionality and drinking water hygiene together in product development.

This achievement further strengthens Jay&Min’s capabilities to serve customers and water-saving programs in Europe and other international markets. It provides a stronger foundation for conversations with partners developing products and projects where both efficient water use and drinking water hygiene matter.
