Water Efficiency for Sustainable Buildings

Indoor Water-Saving Solutions for EDGE Building Projects

Support building water-efficiency goals through faucet and shower applications.

Bring Water-Saving Measures to Everyday Use Points

Everyday water use in homes, hotels and commercial buildings takes place at handwashing basins, kitchen sinks and showers. Selecting suitable water-saving components for these positions is a practical way to improve indoor water efficiency.

Jay&Min supplies faucet aerators, shower flow restrictors and customised water-saving kits for projects pursuing EDGE certification, sustainable building development and retrofit programmes.

We support developers, architects, plumbing consultants, contractors and project buyers with product configurations, technical information, samples and bulk supply, based on building type, installation position and target flow.

Water-Saving Configurations for Different Buildings

Residential Buildings

Residential projects bring together basin, kitchen and shower applications. These tasks have different water-use needs and call for appropriate component configurations.

Organising products by installation position helps project teams plan procurement, installation and maintenance.

  • Bathroom faucet aerators.
  • Kitchen faucet aerators.
  • Flow restrictors for hand showers and overhead showers.
  • Water-saving kits organised by dwelling type or installation position.

Hotels and Hospitality

Hotels, resorts and serviced apartments contain many repeated water-use points. Guestroom basins, showers and kitchens can be equipped with products suited to their use.

Jay&Min supports new hotel projects and existing-facility renovations with aerator flow options, kitchen faucet flow-control products, shower restrictors and customised retrofit kits.

For larger retrofit programmes, product combinations can be organised by room type, faucet connection and installation position to support phased procurement and installation.

Commercial and Public Buildings

Washrooms, pantry areas and other water-use positions in offices, educational facilities and public buildings can be organised into installation-specific product configurations.

Jay&Min offers standardised faucet aerators, flow restrictors for different installation positions and bulk supply for multiple buildings or large numbers of use points, supporting coordinated selection and procurement.

Basin Faucet Application: MJ2405

Basin faucets are an important position for indoor water-saving configurations. A low-flow aerator core at the faucet outlet can help control water delivery while supporting everyday handwashing.

MJ2405 includes a 0.5 GPM low-flow configuration, approximately 1.89 L/min, which project teams can consider when evaluating basin faucet water-saving products.

A small aerator core connects the faucet with everyday water use, bringing building water-saving measures to a specific installation position.

  • Bring low-flow control to the faucet outlet.
  • Support the water-delivery needs of basin handwashing.
  • Organise product supply for multiple installation positions.
  • Support sample experience reviews and technical evaluation.

Kitchen Faucets: Compact and Extended-Reach Sprayers

Kitchen sinks need to support filling, rinsing and cleaning around the sink. Ball-joint kitchen sprayers offer directional adjustment and bubble-stream / spray modes for residential kitchens, hotel apartments and commercial pantry faucets.

Where the outlet needs more reach, compare JM6091 / JM6092 extended-reach sprayers. Review the faucet connection, movement space, sink depth and intended cleaning area alongside the product structure.

The supplied brochure presents a 5 L/min project configuration. Existing kitchen product specifications record 5.6 L/min; a requested 5 L/min version should be confirmed by model, test pressure and samples.

  • Verify the model-specific M22 female / M24 male connection and sealing arrangement.
  • Evaluate both stream modes at the target flow for the intended cleaning tasks.
  • Check clearance for compact or extended designs before bulk retrofit installation.

Shower Applications: MB1400 Build-In Flow Restrictor

Shower flow control begins at the inlet. MB1400 in the current catalogue is a B-series build-in flow restrictor, primarily for hand-shower tail connectors or handles in residential, hotel and apartment shower programmes.

MB1400 specifications list a 2–12 L/min flow range, POM / silicone materials and a test-pressure entry of 60 PSI or 3 bar. The brochure’s 5 L/min can serve as a project target; confirm the supplied version and delivery performance against the shower structure and operating pressure.

Check the cavity fit for the 14 mm outside diameter, installation depth and sealing position. For overhead-shower inlets and other internal pipe positions, compare MB1500, MB1600 and MB1640 on the same product page.

  • Provide shower connection and cavity dimensions to confirm retention and sealing.
  • Select by target flow and operating pressure, then evaluate spray comfort with samples.
  • Organise quantities by room type or building for installation and maintenance.

Water-Saving Products for Faucets and Showers

Bathroom Faucet Aerators

Control faucet flow while supporting handwashing. Select configurations by target flow, operating pressure, connection dimensions and water-delivery requirements.

Kitchen Faucet Aerators

Support cleaning and filling tasks with aerator and flow-control configurations suited to faucet structure, connection dimensions and intended use.

Shower Flow Restrictors

Installation-specific flow restrictors for hand showers, overhead showers and associated water paths help bring project flow requirements into shower products.

Customised Water-Saving Kits

Combine products for residential retrofits, property developments, public programmes and water-utility initiatives, with contents, quantities and packaging arranged by project requirement.

Technical Information for EDGE Project Evaluation

Building water-efficiency evaluation connects product configurations with design information. Jay&Min can provide technical information for selected products to support design, engineering and procurement reviews.

Teams can use the information for product comparisons, design discussions and purchasing documentation, alongside sample-based application evaluation.

Specify the selected model, flow version, test conditions and destination market in procurement records. Review certification documents for the chosen products when preparing engineering and purchasing information.

  • Product flow specifications.
  • Available pressure–flow performance data.
  • Thread sizes and installation dimensions.
  • Drawings and technical datasheets.
  • Applicable test reports and certification documents.
  • Samples and project configuration suggestions.
